Summer days
Prainha - black sand beach

The day was perfect for a walk at Prainha, the only natural sand beach in Madeira, located in Caniçal. The black basalt sand, a unique and impressive feature, contrasted beautifully with the deep blue of the Atlantic, creating an idyllic setting. Several beachgoers enjoyed the warmth of the summer sun, lying on the sand or cooling off in the calm waters. The landscape of the beach was a true invitation to relaxation, where the pace of life slowed down, and the sound of the waves enveloped everyone in a soothing embrace.

As I walked along the beach, capturing moments with my camera, I found a rope coiled around the railing leading to the beach. The seemingly insignificant object turned into a fascinating detail, standing out amidst Prainha's natural simplicity. Further ahead, two girls were engrossed in their books, enjoying the tranquility of this slice of paradise. The scene reflected the peace that this place provides, a perfect refuge to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life.

I couldn't resist capturing the beauty of the surrounding area as well. The vegetation, including towering dragon trees and other native plants, added a touch of green to the predominantly rocky environment. The view of the ocean from the top of the cliffs surrounding Prainha offered a stunning panorama, where nature revealed itself in all its grandeur. Each click of the camera was an attempt to capture not only the visual beauty but also the serenity that this hidden corner of Madeira offers.
